Minister visits wheel factory

BANGALORE: E. Ahmed, Minister of State for Railways, visited the Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, here on Saturday and held detailed discussions with senior officials to review the performance of RWF.

The Minister told the RWF officials that the Railway Ministry has sanctioned a new forging machine at a cost of Rs. 150 crore.

The existing one, which was 25 years old, developed a major technical snag in January this year and it took four months to repair it, said an official release.
