The BJP leader has written a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard Ratlam: Former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Himmat Kothari on Monday said he has received a phone call from Saudi Arabia threatening to kill him. “A call came on my cell phone around 10 p.m. on Sunday and when I received it, an unknown caller using abusive language threatened to kill me,” the BJP leader said. “Your government had beaten up our Muslim people during the recent communal violence in Ratlam. You have played an important role in it. So we will not leave you,” the caller spoke over his cell phone, said Mr. Kothari. The call came from 966591359315, said Mr. Kothari, who was Home and Transport Minister during the previous stint of the Shivraj Singh Chauhan-led BJP Government. The BJP leader said he has already lodged a complaint with senior police officers, including Madhya Pradesh Director-General of Police S. K. Raut, on Sunday night. He has also written a letter to Mr. Chauhan in this regard. Ratlam Superintendent of Police Mayank Jain said the call came from the telephone number of a private company based in Saudi Arabia. Taking action on the complaint, a gunman has been deployed to ensure Mr. Kothari's security as a precautionary measure, Mr. Jain said. Further investigation into the matter is on. – PTI
