MANGALORE: A three-month-old female elephant calf at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Biological Park at Pilikula has been named as Radha, according to park director H.J. Bhandary. He told The Hindu on Tuesday that a Dubai-based businessman, K.G. Shenoy, had adopted Radha and her mother Durga for a year. He donated Rs. 4 lakh to the park two days ago. Mr. Bhandary said that earlier Mr. Shenoy and his family adopted three lion cubs. Founder of nisargadhama Bharatlal Meena and Executive Director J.R. Lobo gave a memento to Mr. Shenoy.
