Speeding car injures 10

Pune: A 22-yr-old woman driving a Mercedes-Benz car knocked down a pedestrian and rammed several vehicles, injuring ten people, in Pune's Kondwa area at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Aditi Jagtap, daughter of well-known cardiac surgeon Ranjit Jagtap, has been arrested by the police and booked under Sections 279 and 339 of the IPC.

Ms. Jagtap left her home in Wanowrie area to go to Salunke Vihar, when she allegedly knocked down a pedestrian. She then took a wrong turn and smashed into two autorickshaws, three motorcycles and a bus.

Ten people were injured by the speeding car, out of which two have been admitted to a private hospital.

The car was damaged a mob, the police said.
