3 scholars can be sponsored to Europe next year KU CFRAC has 65 admissions WARANGAL: The Kakatiya University (KU) became a partner institution in ERAMUS project for two-way mobility between KU and European Union (EU). KU Centre for Foreign Relations and Consultancy (CFRAC) director Prof. G. Damodar said the varsity is only one in Andhra Pradesh and the second one in the south India to have this rare privilege. Under the scheme, Mr. Carmine from Italy is pursuing project work at KITS under Prof. Guru Rao. Three scholars from KU can be sponsored to Europe next year on scholarship and EU bears the total expenditure. “The partnership enables KU to send three students to EU partner institutions and facilitates three students from European countries to pursue their education here,” he told The Hindu. According to him, CFRAC has so far 65 admissions and enquires from nine countries such as Bangladesh, Oman, Italy, Iran, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Uganda and the USA. It has formulated the consultancy rules of the university and got them approved. Prof. Damodar prepared an impressive prospectus titled, Informa, in 20 pages, for foreign admissions. Two from Uganda, four from Iran have joined SDLCE courses. Two students from Bangladesh joined Vidya Jyothi College. Three from Uganda are joining B. Pharmacy at UCPSc, one Iranian, LL.M. at University Law College, two Iranians, M.Sc. (bio-technology) at UC, one Iranian B.Com. at University Arts and Science College and five are joining BBM at CDC from Iran and Uganda, six Iranians have applied for Ph.D. in Commerce and BM, seven in English, three in physics, three in mathematics, one each in bio-technology, chemistry, sociology, computer science, one Iranian for H & TM and eight for Spoken English course at CELT, with projected revenue of Rs 60 lakh per year.
