Awareness workshop conducted

MADURAI: Top officials of nine southern districts participated in an awareness workshop on explosions in fireworks units here on Tuesday.

Officials from the office of the Joint Chief Controller of Explosives explained the procedures to be followed for sanctioning licences for handling explosives, inspection of factories handling explosives and the steps to be taken against violation of Explosives Rules.
