Joshimar does it for Chirag

KOLKATA: Chirag United got back to winning ways, beating Calcutta Port Trust (CPT) by a solitary goal, in the premier division of the Calcutta Football League at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Wednesday.

Chirag found the winner through Brazilian striker Joshimar da Silva, who found the mark in the 71st minute.

Having drawn 2-2 against defending champion Mohun Bagan in the previous encounter, Chirag pushed up its tally to 10 points from five matches. — Principal Correspondent
