Marching forward:Students taking out a rally marking engineers' day.

NAGAPATTINAM: In commemoration of the 150 birth anniversary of M.Visvesvaraya, the Nagapattinam Engineers Association took out a rally here on Wednesday. As a salutary acknowledgement to the engineer, students of Valivalam Desigar Polytechnic and Sir Isaac Newton College took out the rally that commenced at C.S.I. High School and concluded at Avurithidal here.

Every year, September 15endeared as Sir M.V. is celebrated as Engineers Day in salutation to his contributions to the country. Sir M.V. born on September 15, 1860 was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1955. Over 200 saplings and sweets were distributed to the public, and the rally witnessed participation from hordes of engineers. S.Madhavan, President, Engineers Association and K.Mariappan, Secretary, were among the participants.
