Held for misbehaving with girl

CHENNAI: A man who allegedly misbehaved with a minor girl was arrested by the Thiruvanmiyur police on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the accused, Vijayakanth (24) of Madurai, working at a construction site here, misbehaved with an eight-year-old girl at an isolated place on Wednesday evening. The victim raised an alarm drawing the attention of passers-by, who nabbed the accused.
He was handed over to the Thiruvanmiyur police.
Another case
In another case, Balachandran (42) of Palakkad who allegedly misbehaved with a school girl in the ICF area, was arrested on Wednesday.
Police said local people who noticed the accused misbehaving with the girl detained and handed him over to the ICF police.
Balachandran had come to see his sister who lives in Ayanavaram.
