VISAKHAPATNAM: In a retort to Anakapalle MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao's criticism about Congress leaders' alleged lack of interest in taking up people's problems related to creation of separate railway zone, Visakhapatnam South MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao has asked him not to misguide people. Reminding the former Anakapalle MP Ganta Srinivasa Rao of the non-implementation of several proposal from north-coastal Andhra Pradesh people with regard to merging the Waltair division with South Central Railway despite the then TDP MP being the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Indian Railways, he asked the MLA not to speak ill of Visakhapatnam MP Daggubati Purandeswari's intentions. She had been interacting with top officials at New Delhi level in the Railway Ministry and Railway Board to get the demands of the region met in the industrial and education sectors also. “She commands good respect in the Union Cabinet and is working seriously for the development of her constituency,” he observed. Only after the Congress came to power at the Centre and in State did the BHPV get attached to BHEL as its subsidiary and expansion of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and HPCL were taken up, Mr. Dronamraju Srinivas said. He advised the Anakapalle MLA to concentrate on development of his own constituency and let the local MP and MLAs work for the development of their regions.
