‘Give Way to Ambulance' campaign

Special Correspondent

Coimbatore: Rotary Coimbatore Manchester in association with The Hindu and Traffic Police Wardens Organisation is planning to launch a campaign ‘Give Way to Ambulance' by affixing 10,000 stickers on motor vehicles.

The programme will be launched by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) N. Kamini on September 25 at the Youth Expo inauguration of the Rotary Coimbatore Manchester at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam on Avanashi Road. The objective is to take steps to spread awareness on the need for motorists giving way for ambulances. The common message to all motorists is that they should move towards left and halt for a while as and when they hear the ambulance siren from a distance.
