Revanna's charge against BJP

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: Janata Dal (S) Legislature Party leader H.D. Revanna on Friday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had managed to win the Kadur Assembly seat in the byelection using money power, misusing government machinery and with the “cooperation” of certain Congress leaders.

The byelection was won by Y.C. Vishwanath.

He refused to name the Congress leaders who “helped” the BJP.

Intervention sought

Addressing a press conference here, he sought the intervention of Governor H.R. Bhardwaj to prevent irregularities and streamline the procedures for allotment of mining leases.
