Chennai: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is sending a high-level SME Business Mission to the United States from September 20 to 24, to strengthen the business and trade co-operation between the small and medium enterprises of India and the U.S.

CII-SME Mission to the USA is the first step in connecting medium-sized businesses in both countries, said a CII press release issued here on Sunday.

The Mission is led by T.T. Ashok, Deputy Chairman, CII–Southern Region. The team comprises 30 leading industrialists representing key sectors.

During their short visit, the delegates will meet industry representatives of over 480 U.S. companies in the cities of Chicago, Washington DC, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
