CHENNAI: The National selection committee, chaired by Krishnamachari Srikkanth, will meet at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here on Monday to determine the squad for the two-Test series against Australia. The middle-order will be a point of discussion, with the selectors likely to consider the case of Cheteshwar Pujara. The 22-year-old Saurashtra batsman, who has been prolific in domestic cricket, had a successful tour of England with India ‘A' earlier this year. Yuvraj's spot under pressure With Suresh Raina impressing in Sri Lanka, it is learnt that Yuvraj Singh's spot could be under pressure. Yuvraj has made 94 runs in four innings this year at an average of 23.50. He did however score a hundred in the tour game and a half-century in the first Test in Sri Lanka before illness forced him out. There is likely to be a change in the pace department. Zaheer Khan, who appears to have regained fitness after missing the Sri Lanka series with injury, is expected to return, replacing Munaf Patel. The first Test will be played in Mohali from October 1 and the second Test will be played in Bangalore from October 9. — Special Correspondent
