Gulbarga: The Communist Party of India and the All-India Kisan Sabha will organise a protest against the Government across the district, demanding the immediate release of compensation for crop loss. CPI district secretary Shaukat Ali Alur told presspersons in Gulbarga on Tuesday that the first protest will be in Jewargi on Thursday where farmers have suffered the maximum crop loss due to heavy rain. “The farmers have suffered crop loss of hundreds of crores. It is the duty of the Government to compensate them soon. However, Agriculture and Revenue Department officials are misleading the Government by giving false reports. These officials have not visited the fields. They have prepared crop loss estimates sitting in their offices which is improper. The Deputy Commissioner should form a team that visits the fields and prepares actual estimates of the loss,” Mr. Alur said.
