Grievances of SHGs to be redressed

District Revenue Officer Kumaravel Pandian at a grievances redress meeting of self-help groups in Erode on Tuesday. –

ERODE: Self-help groups (SHG) in the district were asked to route their loan applications through the panchayat level federations.

Participating at a grievances redress meeting organised for self-help groups here on Tuesday, Collector (in-charge) P. Kumaravel Pandian said that the State government had already given instructions in this regard.

All the self-help groups should submit their applications seeking loans for starting income generation activities to the respective panchayat level federation. The federations, in turn, would forward the eligible applications to the authorities concerned for further action, he said.

While receiving petitions from the SHG members, Mr. Pandian promised that the district administration would extend all necessary assistance for them to enhance their quality of life. All the petitions would be forwarded to the officials concerned and steps would be initiated to redress the grievances of the petitioners quickly, he added.

Mahalir Thittam Project officer Amal Raj, Assistant Project Officer Sahul Hamid and senior officials were present.
