Ryotu Sangham raids private godown
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Ryotu Sangham has demanded suspension of the Joint Director of Agriculture Vinay Chand of Mahbubnagar district for his role in diverting 200 tonnes of urea and fertilizers meant for distribution in Ranga Reddy district to the mixing plant owned by Kadapa Mayor P. Ravindranath Reddy.
Ryotu Sangham activists and farmers staged a protest in front of the Central Warehousing Corporation godown at Jadcherla from where 200 tonnes of fertilizers were diverted to Haritha fertilizer mixing plant.
The officials admitted that the commodity was diverted on the instructions from the Joint Director.
Mr. Ramakrishna earlier led the farmers in raiding a private godown, Avanti warehousing depot .
