‘Slum development a priority'

MYSORE: Newly inducted Minister from Mysore C.H. Vijayashankar has big plans for rehabilitating the dwellers of Ekalavya Nagar, a slum here.

When he was an MP, Mr. Vijayashankar had proposed a “rehabilitation package” for the residents of the slum, many of whom are tribal artistes. The Minister now plans to go forward with his plan, irrespective of the portfolio allocation.
