VISAKHAPATNAM: The central executive committee meeting of the All-India Medical Lab Technicians Association to be held on the Benaras Hindu University campus on September 26 and 27 will discuss the need to set up a Medical Lab Technologists Council, said its state secretary K.V. Venkateswara Rao here on Friday. A bill was introduced in the Parliament but no further action was taken due to some technical reasons. The Council was sought to ensure common educational qualification, syllabus, training and pay for all lab technicians in the country. Mr. Venkateswara Rao also appealed to all medical lab technicians working in the Government and private labs to take membership of the association. Details can be had by calling 98481 72322.
