Fog in Gulbarga, what next?

Special Correspondent

Blur:Thick fog brought down visibility in Gulbarga on Saturday.

GULBARGA: It was an unusual experience for health-conscious joggers on Saturday morning with thick fog enveloping Gulbarga city.

“I have not seen such thick fog in my life. It is an experience I will never forget,” said 82-year-old Anantrao Aursang who is a regular jogger around the Mehboob Gulshan public garden in the heart of the city.

Gulbarga city has been experiencing extreme weather conditions in the past few weeks, with moderate to heavy rain and extreme heat.

Other regions

Reports from Yadgir district and other taluks of the district said that the respective regions were covered in thick fog for more than five hours in the morning. “We have not seen such fog in Gulbarga ever.

“This is new to the district known for its extreme weather conditions,” said Susheelamma Kulkarni, a homemaker.

With the low visibility, the movement of the traffic was slow. The fog disappeared by 9.30 a.m.
