New foot over-bridge opened near Nehru Stadium

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra inaugurated a foot over-bridge on Bhisma Pitamaha Marg near the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.

Made of steel, the bridge has also been fitted with lifts on either side for the convenience of the elderly and the disabled.

Speaking at the function to mark the inauguration of the bridge, Delhi Mayor Prithvi Raj Sawhney said since its opening coincides with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, it will be named after him.

The FOB has been constructed in six months and will cater to pedestrians wishing to travel between Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Sai Baba Temple.
