Collector unhappy with bankers

VIJAYAWADA: Krishna District Collector Peeyush Kumar on Saturday expressed dissatisfaction over bankers not achieving the targets set for disbursement of agricultural loans. Addressing a district level review meeting, the Collector said that no bank had achieved more than 20 per cent of the target. It reflected their functioning. It was regrettable that none had implemented the assurances given in the last meeting. Glaringly, the Krishna District Cooperative Bank could provide loans to only 341 groups though 3,133 groups had been formed.
