PALAKKAD: Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan on Sunday inaugurated the 84 {+t} {+h} birthday celebrations of freedom fighter and veteran Congress leader C.V. Ramachandran at the Town Hall here on Sunday. He recalled his long association with Mr. Ramachandran who had a clean public life of more than six decades. Mr. Ramachandran's simplicity and integrity should serve as an example for the new generation of political activists, he said. The meeting was presided over by Joy Sasthampadikkal, Resident Editor, Malayala Manorama. The key note address was delivered by Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran. It was addressed by the former judge of the Kerala High Court, Chettur Sankaran Nair, the former MLA, K.A. Chandran, among others.
