Demand arrest:Relatives of a murdered farmer resorting to road blockade near Royakottai overbridge on Krishnagiri-Bangalore National Highway No. 46 on Sunday. — KRISHNAGIRI: Relatives of a farmer, who was murdered in a land dispute, resorted to blocking the Krishnagiri-Bangalore National Highway No. 46 near the Royakottai overbridge on Sunday. According to police, N. Tirupathy was attacked by his brothers N. Govindarajan, N. Krishnan, N. Arjunan and N. Dharman recently at their village Thurinjipatti near Krishnagiri recently. Tirupati and his wife T. Nagavalli had sustained severe injuries in the attack and were referred to a hospital in Bangalore from the Government Headquarters Hospital in Krishnagiri. Meanwhile, Tirupathi died in the hospital on Sunday morning. The relatives who brought the body of Tirupati to Krishnagiri GH for postmortem from Bangaloreresorted to road roko demanding immediate arrest of the brothers who were allegedly responsible for the murder. A. Noor Mohamed, Revenue Divisional Officer, D. Magesh Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police and J. Lakshmanaswamy, Deputy Superintendent of Police and V. Kathirvel, Inspector, Krishnagiri Taluk Police station rushed to the spot and gave assurance to arrest the brothers as early as possible. Inspector Kathirvel told The Hindu that two special teams have been formed to nab the persons.
