Mangled remains:The mini lorry which rammed in to a lorry near the Government Arts College for Men in Krishnagiri on Sunday. KRISHNAGIRI: Two persons were killed in an accident which occurred near the Government Arts College for Men in Krishnagiri on Sunday. Police said a mini lorry rammed a stationary lorry from behind while the lorry driver was changing the punctured tyre at the rear side. The driver of the lorry J. Kasi hailing from Pudu Agraharam Street in Vellore was killed on the spot, while the mini lorry owner R. Srinivasan hailing from Vilangamuudi village near Krishnagiri died on the way to the General Hospital. The mini lorry was carrying beer bottles for TASMAC godown at Krishnagiri from Chennai. The lorry was on its way to Hosur from Chennai with a load of glass, police sources said. The mini lorry driver C. Sukumaran was arrested and was remanded after he was produced before a Judicial Magistrate on Sunday. The Maharajakadai police have registered cases under sections 279 and 304A of IPC and the investigation is on.
