Rank list to be out on October 13 Exams in Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Degree Courses has invited applications for the entrance test for admission to 97 unfilled management quota seats in 10 medical colleges under the Kerala Private Medical College Management Association. The examination will be held between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on October 10. A press note here on Sunday said the exam centres were Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. The rank list would be published on the committee's website on October 13. Seat allotment The seats will allotted on October 15 and the last date for joining the colleges is October 20. Candidates should apply online for the examination through the link on the website www.asckerala.org from September 27. They should take a printout of the filled application forms and send it to the Controller of Examinations, Admission Supervisory Committee, Fifth Floor (upper zone), Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 so as to reach there not later than 5 p.m. on October 2. Enclose the required documents and a demand draft for the application fee of Rs.700 drawn in favour of the Member Secretary, Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Degree Courses, payable in Ernakulam. Applications will be received at the office on holidays also. Admit cards will be sent to the candidates online from October 6. These can be seen on www.asckerala.org. The standard of the examination will be that of the higher secondary or equivalent examinations. The entrance examination will have 100 multiple-choice questions and of the four responses given in the question paper, only one will be correct. Candidates will mark the alphabet (A, B, C, or D) corresponding to the most appropriate answer on the OMR answer sheet. Candidates should return the question booklet to the invigilator at the end of the examination. For each correct response, the candidate will be awarded four marks. There will not be any negative mark for incorrect responses. More than one answer given for a question will be deemed as an incorrect response. No revaluation A fully computerised system will be used for evaluating the answer sheets. There is no provision for revaluation. To qualify in this entrance examination, a candidate will have to score 50 per cent marks. Candidates eligible for relaxation in marks — 40 per cent for those belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Communities and the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and 45 per cent for physically challenged candidates — shall note the name of their caste, religion, and community in the relevant column in the application form and shall produce the community or disability certificate obtained from a competent authority at the time of the allotment. The course fee and conditions relating to payment of fee will be as mentioned in clauses 3.2, 5.2 and 5.3 of the prospectus available on the website of the association, www.kpmcma.net, the press note added.
