Canara Bank donates books to school

MADURAI: The Madurai Circle Office of Canara Bank has donated a total of 50 books worth Rs. 5,000 to the library of the Setupati Higher Secondary School in Madurai. B.R. Balasunder, Deputy General Manager, told the students to make the best of the library to equip themselves with knowledge.

S.R. Vishwanathan, Assistant General Manager, Grand Central Branch, said that the bank would be donating another Rs. 5,000 to the school to award prizes to students under various competitions.

Social responsibility

These activities were being undertaken by the bank as part its corporate social responsibility, a press release said.
