EFLU workers to continue strike

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The talks between Vice-Chancellor of English and Foreign Language University (EFLU) and the non-teaching staff, who have been on strike for past several days, have failed to yield any positive results. The employees under the banner of Joint Action Committee (JAC) have decided to continue the strike on Monday.

The JAC, comprising of staff associations belonging to officers, non-academic staff, technical staff, SC, ST and OBC members, are demanding implementation of promotional scheme recommended by Sixth Pay Commission. On Sunday VC of EFLU, Md. Miyan during talks with the employees has reportedly accepted to give time bound promotions to the employees.
