‘Run for Rights' marathon
CHENNAI: A marathon to create awareness and raise donations for the treatment of children with cancer was organised by the NCC cadets of M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women here on Sunday.
The ‘Run for Rights' marathon was flagged off by former Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta. Hundreds of students from several schools and colleges, actors Pooja and Vishnu, participated.
An amount of nearly Rs.1.5 lakh by way of registration fee from the participants would be given to the oncology department of Meenakshi Medical Mission Hospital, Madurai, said K. Nirmala Prasad, Principal of the college.
