PERAMBALUR: Thol Thirumavalavan, Member of Parliament, distributed free domestic LPG connection and stoves worth Rs.15 lakh to 611 beneficiaries of Velvimangalam and Mettukalingarayanallur villages in Perambalur district on Tuesday. Mr Thirumavalavan appreciated Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi for implementing several welfare schemes including Kalaignar Health Insurance Scheme for Life Saving Treatments to benefit the poor and weaker sections of the society. S.Palanisamy, Collector in charge, who presided over , said the distribution of free colour television sets would be completed soon and explained in detail the various welfare schemes being implemented in the district. S.S.Sivasankar, MLA of Andimadam, Arumainayagam Varagunaraj, District Supply Officer and other dignitaries spoke on the occasion.
