Man held for causing damage to fish stall

Tirupur: Tirupur North police arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly causing damage to the modern fish stall that is being operated by the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation Limited (TNFDCL), here on Tuesday.

Police sources said that the accused had barged into the outlet in an inebriated mood and destroyed the fish stock as well as the baskets that were being used for storing the fish.

Threat

The accused had also threatened the staff posted at the outlet, police said.

The arrest was made on the basis of complaint lodged by the TNFDCL assistant manager S. Pulikutty.
