Namakkal Collector assumes office

Namakkal Collector S. Madhumathi
NAMAKKAL: S. Madhumathi has assumed office as Namakkal Collector on Friday.
She told the media that she would give priority to agriculture and poultry and popularise “Rajarajan 1000' Rice Intensification Scheme in the district. Before taking charge as Namakkal Collector, she was an Additional Director in Agriculture Department. A Post Graduate in Botany, she served as District Revenue Officer for Tiruvarur district in 1997-1999 and also worked as a Special Officer in Kallakurichi Co-operative Sugar Mills.
