TUTICORIN: S.S. Manigandan, Ram S. Krishnan and C.V. Raghuram Balaji shared the lead with 7.5 points each after the ninth round of the 23rd SPIC FIDE-rated chess tournament here on Friday.

Semifinalists spotted

Madurai, Tirunelveli, Sivaganga and Tuticorin entered semifinals in the 27th sub-junior State football championship at Virapandianpatnam (Tuticorin District) on Friday.
