Vallasadya concludes at Aranmula

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Vallasadya Vazhipadu, an offering of sumptuous feast to the snake-boat crew, at Sree Parthasarathy Temple on the banks of the Pampa at Aranmula concluded on Friday.

The vallasadya was offered to the crew of the palliyodams (snake-boats) belonging to the palliyoda karayogams of Poovathoor-East, Keezhcherimel and Thekkemuri on Friday.

The crew reached the temple ghats in their boats around 12 noon. They were accorded a customary reception at the temple ghats and were escorted to the temple.

They offered prayers at the temple. The feast was served to the boat crew immediately after the Utchapuja.

Palliyoda Seva Sanghom secretary Ratheesh R.Mohan said a total of 371 vallasadyas were held at the Aranmula temple this season.
