TIRUCHI: The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchi, has for the first time developed in-house two multi-media films to provide insights into the performance of steam generator in a power station. The films on Micro-processor based gravimetric feeder controller (BHELFEED) and Acoustic steam leak detection system (BHELSONIC) that constitute the vital components of steam generator in a power station would be informative to personnel engaged in installation of power projects, the Executive Director of BHEL, Tiruchi, A.V. Krishnan said, releasing the multi-media films on Monday. He advocated more films on hundreds of other products of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Salient features The interactive multi-media guide features product introduction, technical description, principle of operation, functions, installation and commissioning details (including testing and calibration) troubleshooting, diagnosis and solutions. It also highlights the unique features of the product. Customer delight R Kumar, General Manager, Engineering (Fossil Boilers) described the initiative as a step towards achieving customer delight. Mr LAE Fernandez, Additional General Manager, Control and Instrumentations (C&I), and K Karthikeyan, Manager, C&I, also described the benefits accruing from the multi-media films.
