Suraj slams century for Srikakulam

VISAKHAPATNAM: R. Suraj Preetam was unbeaten on 106 as Srikakulam made 225 for eight at close on first day of the three-day league match against East Godavari in the ACA North Zone inter-district under-16 tournament.

The scores: Srikakulam 225 for eight in 94.5 overs (R. Suraj Preetam 106 batting, N. Rakesh Goud 44, K. Mithil Kumar 26, N. Monish three for 36, M. Raviteja three for 61) vs. East Godavari.

Vizianagaram 112 in 55.3 overs (G. Vamsidhar Reddy 49, Nikhil three for 12, Bappi Behara three for 21) vs. Visakhapatnam four without loss in two overs.

Srikakulam 262 in 89.2 overs (Suraj Preetam 116, Rakesh Goud 46, P. Dinesh 25, Chaitanya Reddy four for 61, Tapasvi three for 39) and 7 for no loss decl. drew with Vizianagaram 30 in 23.4 overs (N. Sivakishan seven wickets for seven runs) and 62 for seven in 41 overs (Tapasvi 29, N. Rakesh Goud three for 14). Srikakulam 3 points, Vizianagaram 1 point.
