Indore: India Green comfortably beat India Red by six wickets in an NKP Salve Challenger Trophy match here on Saturday. The India Green bowlers, led by leg-spinner Sarabjit Ladda (four for 46), dismissed the Dinesh Karthik-led Red team for 185 in 40.3 overs. Apart from Ladda, Rajasthan medium-pacer Pankaj Singh got three wickets. Mumbai-pacer Dhawal Kulkarni chipped in with two for 26. In reply, India Green reached the target in only 37 overs, courtesy an 87-run third wicket stand between skipper S. Badrinath (67) and Rohit Sharma (48). India Green got five points including a bonus while the defeat cost the Red team a point. For the Red team, Parthiv Patel top-scored with 86. Yusuf shines On Friday, Yusuf Pathan's 63 (30b, 5x6, 5x4) and Mohnish Mishra's 42 helped India Red to a three-wicket victory against India Blue. India Blue Skipper Yuvraj Singh won the toss and opted to bat first. Brilliant half centuries from Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja helped India Blue score 251 for nine in 50 overs. The scores: India Red 185 in 40.3 overs (Parthiv 86, S. Ladda four for 46, Pankaj three for 36) lost to India Green 187 for four in 37 overs (S. Badrinath 67, Rohit Sharma 48). India Blue 251 for nine (A. Rahane 84, N. Tiwari 40, R. Jadeja 58, S. Tyagi three for 40) lost to India Red 252 for seven in 48.4 overs (Yusuf Pathan 63, M. Mishra 42).
