BSNL phones affected

VISAKHAPATNAM: Heavy rains and digging of roads by private telephone operators for optical fibre cables, some of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited landline connections have got affected in MVP Colony Sector – 8, Sector – 12, Ushodaya Junction, SBI Colony, Subbalaskhmi Nagar, under two exchange areas.

Road widening works also have affected the phone lines, a release from the BSNL said on Monday and they hope to restore them as soon as possible as they were waiting for the GVMC permission to dig road to set those cables right.
