Veena concert

ANNUAL FEATURE:Veena performance in progress at Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in the city.

MADURAI: A veena concert was organised at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple here on Sunday to mark the end the Navarathri festival.

A total of 108 veenas played in the old marriage hall of the temple premises by members of the ‘Veenai Vazhipadu Mandram.'

R. Padmanaban, Joint Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE) Department and Executive Officer of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, said that the concert was performed at the Mandapam, where the golu dolls was also kept.
