NELLORE: Superintendent of Police E. Damodar has appealed to the Internet centre owners to register with ‘ideacts innovations', a Mumbai-based organisation, involved in providing security for cyber cafes. At a programme organised here on Monday, the SP said cyber crimes like illegal money transactions, sending false mails, eve-teasing were increasing day-by-day and the anti-social elements were resorting to illegal activities through internet centres. In many cases, police were unable to detect the cases due to lack of evidence/data in cyber cafes, he said. Ideacts' will provide a software ‘clinck' for the cafes and the customers should create a new login with his/her name, photograph, ID, mobile and pan card numbers, address and other details. The user can enter into his login any where in the world, but will accept only after tallying with his photograph and other details provided in the beginning, which will prevent unauthorised utilisation of a login, said the company operations head Shabbir Ali. The organisation will man the security of registered Internet centres by arranging servers and provide information to police and other departmentswhen in need. When asked whether there was any authentication from the government for the company, Mr. Shabbir said there was no such permission. Nellore Town DSP G.R. Radhika, D.K. Government Women's College Principal A. Sarada Devi, Aditya Educational Institutions Chairman Acharya Aditya, CI P.Veeranjaneya Reddy were present.
