For the first time ever, the company's quarterly vehicle sales crossed one-million units at 10.01 lakh units (6.87 lakh units), a growth of 46 per cent. Record volumes achieved by the Pulsar and Discover during the quarter helped the operating margins improve from 20 per cent in the first quarter of the year to 20.7 per cent in the second quarter; maintaining best margins in the industry.

In motorcycles, domestic sales were up 53 per cent at 6.33 lakh units (4.13 lakh units) while exports were up 35 per cent at more than 2.50 lakh units.
