Bidding adieu: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh being greeted by Minister P. Balaraju at Begumpet airport in Hyderabad on Tuesday. HYDERABAD: It was literally the last minute rush of Ministers at the Begumpet airport when they reached there to see off Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the afternoon. Dr. Singh arrived at the airport by a helicopter after laying the foundation stone for TIFR campus a clear 20 minutes ahead of the schedule. There were by then only a handful of Ministers and some other visitors at a specially erected shamiana where their meeting with the Prime Minister was arranged. Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D. Srinivas and several Ministers arrived much after the Prime Minister started meeting visitors who had queued up. Labour Minister R. Venkat Reddy and Legislative Council chairman A. Chakrapani could not even catch up with Mr. Manmohan Singh. At a time when Prime Minister should have actually arrived at the airport, he was already on board the special Indian Air Force aircraft to fly to New Delhi.
