GULBARGA: The Karnataka Information Commission will hold a two-day sitting in the Deputy Commissioner's office complex here on October 21 and 23 to hear pending petitions filed from Gulbarga, Bidar, Bijapur and Yadgir districts. Additional Deputy Commissioner Math Mallikarjun said here on Wednesday that all the three Information Commissioners — H.N. Krishna, K.A. Thippeswamy and J.S. Virupakshaiah — would hold separate sittings to hear the petitions. Initially, the commission was scheduled to hold a three-day sitting from October 21, but the schedule was changed at the last minute after the State Government declared October 22 a closed holiday for Valmiki Jayanti. The former MLA and JD(S) leader from Basavakalyan in Bidar district has filed the highest number of petitions, 53, against the Information Officers at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Bidar, the Regional Commissioner's office and Chief Executive Officer's office in the Bidar Zilla Panchayat.
