KADAPA: Police conducted open house programme in several police stations in Kadapa district on Wednesday and enlightened students on the use of firearms, duties of police personnel and their efforts to safeguard human lives and properties. Students got hands on experience on the firearms used by policemen and some of them got a chance to aim the rifles. Policemen laid down their lives in the country while fighting terrorists, extremists and curbing anti-social elements, Kadapa West circle inspector Shaukat Ali Khan said. Distressed people can come to police stations and lodge complaints without fear, he said. The students were explained about the FIR, record maintenance and other aspects. Kadapa I Town sub-inspector Sridhar participated.
