KOTTAYAM: The Rubber Board will give financial assistance to Rubber Producers' Societies (RPSs) to acquire facilities at group rubber processing centres. A sum of Rs.108 lakh has been earmarked for the scheme, which is aimed at improving the quality of small- holders' produce to bring it on a par with international standards. The Rubber Board has developed a design for the group processing centres with fuel-efficient, environment-friendly and pollution-free systems. Details are available at the regional offices and field stations of the Board.
