Postal ballots Dr. Beena urged the polling duty officials not to delay the process of applying for postal ballot. She said that returning officers need to check the requests, as the marked copies of the electoral rolls will be shifted to the distribution centres by Saturday afternoon. ‘Avoid delay' The polling officials could submit their requests to the returning officers directly to avoid the delay. Only those postal ballots received before 8 a.m. on October 27 would be considered. Those who are physically ill/visually challenged can seek the support of a person aged above 18 years to cast their vote.
