Temple Executive Officer asked to appear in HC

HYDERABAD: Justice N. Rama Mohan Rao of Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday directed the Executive Officer of Durga Malleshwara Devasthnam, Vijayawada, to appear in connection with a contempt case.

These orders are passed in a case filed by Punith.

The High Court had ordered the Executive Officer to take Punith into service of Devasthanam after adjudicating the writ petition.

Even after several months Punith was not taken into service and it was averred that the instructions from commissioner of endowments was awaited.

Contempt case filed

At that stage the present contempt case was filed. The judge took on record complaint made by Punith and directed the executive officer to be present in the court to explain why the orders of the court are not being implemented.
