Congress MLA's resignation accepted

BANGALORE: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker K.G. Bopaiah has accepted the resignation of Congress MLA S.V. Ramachandra.

Mr. Ramachadra, who was elected to the 13th Legislative Assembly from Jagalur constituency in Davangere district, tendered his resignation to the membership of the Lower House on Tuesday.

A notification issued by the Assembly Secretary S.B. Patil said his resignation is effective from October 19.
