KOLKATA: Holder Mohun Bagan continued its winning run, drubbing Railway FC 3-0 in a premier division encounter of the Calcutta Football League here at its home ground on Thursday. Mohun Bagan, which had thrashed George Telegraph 7-0 barely a couple of days ago, seemed to preserve its rhythm with its Nigerian strike force of Edeh Chidi and Subair Muritala Ali fetching the goals. Muritala Ali took the side ahead in the 33rd minute utilising a rebound after Kingshuk Debnath saw his header off a corner blocked by the Railway custodian Amit Ghosh. Chidi ruled the second session, scoring a pair of goals to lend respectability to the team score. He fired in his first in the 60th minute off a R. Dhanarajan assist before completing the scoring in the 80th minute, when Ashim Biswas reached him with a precise through-pass. The win helped Mohun Bagan tally 13 points from six matches while the Railway team remained on 11 points collected from as many matches. — Principal Correspondent
