TIRUVANNAMALAI: Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is on two-day visit to Tiruvannamalai district starting from Saturday. He will participate in host of government, college as well as DMK party programmes in Tiruvannamalai and Vandavasi taluks. Announcing Mr. Stalin's programmes at a press meet organised here on Friday Food minister and DMK district secretary E.V. Velu said that Mr. Stalin will arrive in Tiruvannamalai district on Friday night itself to a rousing reception at district border given by party cadres. On Saturday, he will participate in State level students' competitions organised by DMK youth wing in view of 102 {+n} {+d} birth day of C.N. Annadurai in which 2000 student participants from across the State will take part. “Then he will inaugurate a few buildings and a seminar in SKP Engineering College, on his way to Kilpennathur where he will participate in a government function. In the function he will inaugurate Kilpennathur Integrated Drinking Water Project and several other buildings. That apart, he will hand over revolving fund to 1,500 woman SHGs and open plaques of several upcoming projects,” Mr. Velu said. On Sunday morning, he will participate in students' competition again and then proceed to take part in Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's birthday celebrated belatedly in DMK district office where he will gift party cadres mopeds, bicycles, and dresses. Then he will proceed to open Periyar Memorial Samathuvapuram constructed in Meesanallur in Thellaru block and then he will participate in a government function organised in Vandavasi, where he will inaugurate Kilkodungalur Integrated Drinking Water Programme, new bus stand named after chief minister M. Karunanidhi and new municipal office named after Periyar E.V. Ramasamy.
